EZ Do-it-yourself Pedicure

1. Wet Your Tootsies. Soak your feet in the tub for at least 10 minutes to soften heels and cuticles. To make it salon-fancy, squeeze a few grapefruits into the soaking water-it smells good, and the natural alpha hydroxy acids eat away dead skin.
2. Scrub and file. Rub on a grainy scrub, and rinse. While skin's still damp, use a fresh wooden manicure stick to gently push back cuticles. Next, run a loofah or foot buffer over any rough spots to smooth, then slather a rich cream all over feet. Trim nails straight across to the edge of your toes and file the corners slightly. For a total zone-out experience, roll feet over a tennis ball to massage them.
3. Add some color. Swipe nails with polish remover or cleanser to get rid of oils, which can make your pedicure peel. Then put on a base coat, 2 coats of color and a top coat, giving each layer about a minute to dry. To make it salon-fancy, paint a fat stripe of polish down the center of your toe, then do the sides. And remember to run the brush along the top edge of your nail. This neat trick extends the life of any pedi.

Protect Your Jewelry From Tangles

I've discovered one way of preventing all my jewelries from tangling, particularly my necklaces. I travel a lot, and it's been always a hassle for me keeping them all in a jewelry case, so that when I tend to pick one for use, they are all messed up! :(.

The technique? Get a seal-top plastic bags to pack necklaces. Simply tuck the pendant part inside the bag and seal, letting the chain dangle outside - seriously, no more tangles.

Shopping for Minis

Mini flared skirts have a flirty appeal, especially if you pair them with opaque tights and chunky heels. Just be sure to check the skirts which are slightly fitted up top and looks swingy on the bottom! Dyaran! Stylish you! :).
