I spoke to my family today and I got the worst news ever! They were badly hit by the typhoon "Frank" with heavy rains, strong winds and deep floods. Yes, Iloilo province is badly hit!!! I and my husband constantly pray for our loved ones safety. The rain actually started late Thursday and continous to become heavy until Saturday with heavy downpour accompanied with strong winds. Flash floods came unexpectedly in our hometown (Janiuay) that made me shocked. Many people who live along the banks of the river died and washed out by floods and currently some people are on the rescue...both for dead and living people!
Our home's rooftop has been ripped off, and they are totally in black out. My heart goes out to my family...I worry at times ever wondering how are they doing from time to time. But with prayers I become at peace. Although the concern is always there. I am grieving of what happened and is happening, as much as I desperately gasp for homesickness to go visit my country, hometown and be with my family :((. I saw videos that I wasn't able to see in the news today, and I couldn't imagine the sight. Oh, God, hear our prayers and keep your people safe. Videos are just the plain witnesses I got right now...so far, I've been waiting for any news directly from my hometown, but they are in total darkness for 3 days now, and they aren't so sure when will that last. I am now in constant look out for any updates.
